Originating from Pangasinan in the mid-1980s, it was initially called "Tung-it." Its name and rules hint at its ties to the American card game, Tonk, but it also bears similarities to Mahjong and Poker.The games goal is to form sets and runs by drawing and discarding cards, aiming to reduce the number of unmatched cards in ones hand.
Its not just about card matching, though.
Strategy comes into play, especially when trying to avoid accumulating too many points or getting "Burned" when the central card stack is depleted.
